Coaches can start NOW and register for the Football Leader Award or the C Certificate.
FAW Football Leaders Award (Level 1) is an online eLearning award providing a basic and engaging introduction to the organisation of football practices in a fun, safe environment with an emphasis on engaging with the young players of today.
The award provides learners with an opportunity to discover and consider the technical and social support that we, as coaches, can provide to our players, discussing various practical aspects. These include: the importance of area size, practice transitions, progressions and regressions, as well as ensuring the learner takes a closer look at themselves, their role as a coach, and how they currently share the message they provide players.
Cost $120 (AUD) £60
To be completed before starting the C Certificate, but exemptions can apply - if current AFC B or A holder, this course is refunded once FLA course completed, C Certificate registration done and all coaching evidence uploaded.
Must be completed two weeks before starting C Certificate.
3/6 month, 8 online contacts, onDemand modules, tasks, session delivery & reflections back to your club.
The C Certificate is delivered utilising a variety of in-person education contacts and online workshops. It is designed to educate candidates in the technical, physical, psychological and social requirements of modern football. It will develop candidates' ability to plan, prepare, deliver, and reflect on coaching sessions for the development of players.
The course has been designed to support the modern coach, with education consisting of online modules, distance learning, webinars and practical contacts as well as the requirement to coach within your own coaching environment.
During the course, coaches learn about the key requirements of supporting an individual within modern football, developing players across our four pillars (technical, physical, psychological and social) and their ability to plan, prepare and reflect on sessions. There is no formal assessment.
